My Heart's Desire For 2013

Today's the last day of the year twenty thousand & twelve and i would just like to leave a mark about what I want for the next year. Some may call this sort as Wish List but I'd rather call it as My Heart's Desire because I will be typing some errands, claiming in the Lord Jesus' name! Hooray!

1. COLLEGE GRADUATION
Well, I must say that this is a proclaimed desire already. I can see the light shining my path as I march on this upcoming day.  Can you believe it? This nineteen year old girl will be graduating next year. 3 months is so close! I'm having my Bachelor degree! Hooraaay! Can we please slow the time?

2. PLE (Pharmacy Licensure Exam)
Fly me to the moon! Yes, within this year, I will be taking this exam. Prolly on June 2013. I am praying not only to pass but to top the board exams. (Eyebrows down, please) Who wouldn't want to pass an exam with flying colors? No one. Hindi naman masamang mangarap, diba? :)

3. WORK
If ever I will pass the board exam, i still don't know where God will throw me. Hospital? Community? Modeling (Joke)? Business? Outside Philippines? I still don't know but I am putting all in His hands my FUTURE.

4. BOYFRIEND
I mentioned the word "Future" awhile ago and this one's included. Because I am already on my Senior year now, I am legally allowed to have a boyfriend. And right at this time, I am not in a hurry unlike in the past months/years. Funny yet true. As I watched some inspirational wedding videos, it creepily touches my heart. I want someone who's next to God's own heart. There's this line from a groom's vow to her wife "I want to be the one who will make you madly fall inlove with Jesus" and that teared me up. Awwwwwwwwww!!! :.) I know God gives the best gifts! (Lord, yung pogi tsaka macho at mabango ha!)

5. TRAVELS
I really really really want to travel. Ay pwede din ito sa 2014 na! :)

My ultimate prayer request (to you who will come to read this) that please pray for me; especially the top 3 that I listed. That's the most desirable desire that my heart is desiring now. It has been the reason why I stare at nothing because I am thinking of some made up premonitions of those. Au Revoir 2012!

Happy Christmas ft. Chocolate Truffles

How often do you see me in kitchen? Out of the blue. The way to a man's heart is through their stomach, they say.. The big problem is it occured to me that heavy cooking is not my way to sweep off someone's feet. I cannot cook but I can make you truffles. So here I am, lavishly sharing to you how to make Chuffles (Chocolate truffles over Cocoa and Chop nuts).

What do you need?
First, you need Kitchen. Booo. Unless you want to ruin your bedroom with yum and mess.
Second: Ingredients
Basic: Dark chocolate bar, Butter , All purpose cream, Fresh Milk
Coating: Cocoa powder or Nuts ( I used Mixed Nuts: Pili, cashew, Almond)
Third: Necessities
Stove, Clean Hands and one friend to take the pictures (Haha)

METHOD:

1. Chop the dark chocolate into pieces that will make it easier to melt. Also, chop the nuts for truffle coatings later.

2. On a stove, heat the saucepan. Mix cream + butter (I call it crutter), then heat it up.

3. In a bowl, bring the chopped chocolates. Pour the crutter. Stir until the chocolate melts. I used a porcelain bowl over very hot water which gave enough heat to melt it. If so desired, you can add some milk to blend until smooth.

4. You now have a ganache. Pour the mixed ingredients in a tupperware and put inside the fridge to solidify all through. (Best if it is left overnight)

5. Scoop, with a teaspoon, out imperfect balls of the ganache and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the refrigerator over some time.

6. Roll in your hands quickly for the heat of your hand will melt it quickly. For its coating, roll it over the cocoa powder or chopped nuts.

7. Take a picture with your homemade chocolate truffles because nothing beats looking at chocolates you’ve made. Happy Christmas!

La maison et L'ecole

The Gang, my second family here in Davao had a reunion yesternight. It was a night full of laughter, singing, puns, song parodies, eating & drinking, as always expected. I am the youngest, so, let alone me, the only remaining teen in the family. I met most of them during my freshman year in college and all I could say is that I am blessed to belong here. We may not be like some of those group of people who meets up every now and then but I know that this bond within us will never be gripped loosely. When I am with them, I am home (la maison).

This has been the last day at L'ecole (school) for the year 2012. We had the Microbiology Modular exam this morning. At lunch, me and my friend exchanged gifts. And also, I am so glad for in this day we, our section, decided and planned for our Retreat for February and our New Year's Party because we wouldn't be having a Christmas Party this year. For a change, we are having"The New B-ginning Party" on January 11 tweenty thirteen. I am so looking forward for what the new year is in store.

Look how resourceful I can be. I used the scantron answer sheet as a giftwrapper. Lol

And now, as I type this post, I am about to continue reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Been hearing a lot of feedbacks about this book. So I am expecting for tears to shed. Let me finish it now.

Waiting for our Clinical Pharmacy class.
The last of the year!

It's December 21, 2012 already - end of the world in the Mayan's calendar, they say. Hay ano ba kayo "Una na kamo, wala pa ko migo ya! / Mauna na kayo, wala pa akong boypren" Hahahahaha.

Determination of life's toxic effects

It is pass 1 in the morning and I am reviewing for my Pharmaceutical Chemistry 500 lab exam, apparently my last exam for this 2012.

Just like drugs, it is often handled for its therapeutic use, so is life. We aim for life at its best but we tend to forget those that are unwanted. If some drugs can cause metabolic acidosis, the maze of this life  has been causing me MENTALolic acidosis - depression & insanity. The happenings that are present today are ravaging. News about the Connecticut Massacre, the typhoons, the botanist who was killed, warfares everywhere, the fear of everyone about the end of the world, and ofcourse people who are the greatest toxicants. Life may seem to be like drugs today. I don't know if this were acute or chronic intoxication. All i know is that it is toxic in many ways that we cannot just rely on activated charcoal as an antidote.
