I want my Mommy back

That's it, our Action movie title for Humanities 100- you just don't know how much time and effort I and my classmates are putting on with this minor subject. If you'll get to read our title first, i bet one song was popping on your mind. "The Show by Lenka", exactly. Anyway, here's the summary of the story:

"There's one small happy family. A Husband and a wife together with their two daughters.
The family owns a company and there's this one guy who was jealous because his company is weaker than theirs. Deals were down because of that successful business which made him angry to the point that he killed the wife/mother of the family i have first mentioned. And not just that, he kidnapped the father and took his place in everything, to his company and even in his family. How did he took his place? He undergo a surgery to copy the face of the man he has been hating. But the two girls has been on a wide range of suspicions. And the elder daughter (WHICH WAS ME) tend to discover that me and my sister had been with a wrong father. I kept on investigating and finding my father. To cut the story short, I managed to save my father, which was the real one, and I killed the bad man. After all and to have this happy-ever-after ending, there's this one woman that my sister and my dad encountered and looked exactly like my Mom in the movie."
(Guess that was one big happy ending for a movie made by amateurs.)

That was it. Almost a month of shooting scenes in different places, we finally finished everything. I have scenes which made me an action star for a while. By far, my favorite was when the bad man had his gun infront of my face and i kicked the gun away. That idea was superb which just came out of the blue. I'm glad everything has been done with the movie.

We still have gospel choir, theater accent and another song for the whole class to memorize and for the whole Pharmacy Fourth Years to have a face-off on September 19. Wishing all the best For Pharmacy 4B Batch 2012. I hope we'll win! <3

will be showing in theaters ROOMwide. lol

PS. I left my job at Hollywood Burgers for final's sake. God has His way of showing His wondeful Kingship above everything else. Indeed, He's God of precision, accuracy and perfect timing! Just when my heart broke because i haven't been picked for swimming, news scattered that our Final examinations will be during our intramurals. Amazing God is amazing. Now i know that everything has its reason. I couldn't fathom His greatness through words. Thank You, Jesus! By the way, I just had my last pay this morning at Hollywood! I will miss everything, the variety of customers, the making of milkshakes, the unlimited drinks and food at the bar and the days where I'm giving off sweat. I will be at Luzon for sembreak. I'm still saving up more money! Did i mention that my God is also a great provider? <3

Hollywood

What comes first into your mind when you hear Hollywood? If i were to ask, i would answer BURGERS. Hello guys! Before everything else, please like this page: http://www.facebook.com/HollywoodBurgerDavao

I am writing about Hollywood Burgers because i just got my second salary. Yes, you read that right. .. I'm working on a part-time job aside from identitee. Just incase you didn't know, I'm a waitress. *wink*

My idea of being one just came out of the blue when, one typical wednesday, me and my friends were eating in the said American diner. Since way back, I've been wanting to work on a coffeeshop or what because i find it cool watching flicks wherein the characters were attending school and at the same time has their part-time job. I'm also amazed to some of the people i've known, who were now outside the country, earning some bucks as for them working at McDonald's. It's just that seeing them such as if they're having fun.

Back to my story, I asked the waitress there if I could apply to be one of them. At first, she laughed at me because she thought i'm just joking. (Well, i am but it seems paradoxical) She told me I can pass my resume and have my interview. I have this guts wanting to grab that opportunity since I don't have class every Mondays and Tuesdays. What is good about that day is that when we were dining-in, the owner was also there. I bought one biodata application form, signed it and after an hour handed it to the owner and had my interview. He asked me why did i want to work and I answered "As a Pharmacy student, blah blah blah"... ..

For the first time, I heard the words "Congratulations, you are hired! You can start on monday!". And to tell you frankly, it was a blessing! Having this job is such a blast for me. I'm earning experiences which gets me to MORE appreciate things in life.

1.TIME. Unlike in school, it is okay to be late. But at work, Nah-uh! Plus time-management with your studies and all other things i am into like the other business i have, TIRING.

2. MONEY. Money never hugs back. Nothing's more fulfilling than spending something from your own sweat.

3. PATIENCE. It is not easy to face different people and telling them what burger suits their taste buds, buddy. Not also easy to give off flyers and telling them "Try Hollywood Burgers". Not also easy to be with monsterpous supervisors and curious co-workers.

4. OTHERS. I now know how to mop the floor properly. And also, how to make milkshakes and be reminded to cut my nails because i'm on duty. Hihi

One day, I will leave this work but i will forever cherish this. College days are running out and i'm making the most out of it. This is one of those things i will remember someday and one of the topic i will tell my kids. I just love to work. Working on my own ways, weird but cool ways, indeed. Someday, i will reap off something. I know there's the value of hardwork and i'm still figuring that out! :)
